Why I chose Macalester:
I was originally enrolled at the University of Minnesota the summer going into my freshman year, but I had zero excitement for the upcoming school year. All four of my classes were science classes. I realized that I wanted a more well-rounded education than that. Then the opportunity arose to switch to Macalester to get a Liberal Arts education and play football. All of sudden I had something to look forward to. Instead of dreading the imminent fall, I was now enthused and eager to get to Macalester and start my college career.
