Made nine appearances with eight starts on the mound… Went 3-4 with an earned run average of 5.32… Fanned 44 batters in 47.1 innings… Led the Scots in starts, innings, strikeouts and wins… Allowed four runs, two earned, and seven hits in a 5-4 win over Concordia (WI) Mar. 13… Also earned the victory vs. Marian Mar. 18… Struck out a season-high eight batters at Carleton Apr. 4 and at St. John’s Apr. 22… Limited Augsburg to an unearned run on four hits in six innings in a 3-1 victory Apr. 30.

2014
Appeared in first collegiate game against Marian University Mar. 14, pitching two innings with no runs, no hits and three strikeouts… Earned his first decision in a 4-3 loss to St. Olaf Apr. 12, pitching five innings with an earned run and four strikeouts... Pitched seven innings with one earned run and six strikeouts in an 8-3 win over Augsburg Apr. 26… Finished the season with a team-leading 32 strikeouts and was second on the team in ERA (2.77)… Went 2-2 with one save in 10 appearances… Earned team’s Most Valuable Pitcher Award.

Before Mac
Captained the Langley High School team during his senior year… Led the pitching staff with a 2.10 ERA and earned all-district honors in 2013… Two-time letterwinner… Four-time Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Macalester so far. Being a student-athlete at Mac has definitely helped teach me how to manage time effectively and maintain focus both on and off the field.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete here at Macalester has allowed me to experience different sides of the Macalester environment. I am able to gain experience from the valuable academic resources at the school while at the same time grow from an athletic perspective.
