What Macalester has meant to me so far (08'):

"After my experience as a freshman at Macalester and playing for the men's soccer team, I cannot wait until preseason this year, as well as the school year in general. Through the soccer team, I have met most of my closest friends, and had some really great times traveling to places such as Iowa and Ohio for games and tournaments. I truly look forward to this season and those to come as the team should be competing for the league title as well as a national tournament bid. Throw in our new state of the art athletic center and there isn't much more anyone could ask for."

What Macalester has meant to me so far ('09):

"My second year on the team was one to remember. Although we missed out on the postseason, we truly had some memorable games and moments. The experience playing a league match under the Friday night lights in front of a thousand fans gets me everytime. The support we receive for the soccer team truly is incredible and cannot be matched anywhere else in the MIAC."

Macalester through Senior Year:

"As I enter my final season as a soccer player at Macalester college, I hope this season will be the best one yet. As returning MIAC champions, we will look to repeat and defend our title, as well as venture even deeper into the NCAAs. The freshman class looks very strong, and with depth in the returners, this year looks quite promising, as well as the years to come. Reflecting on my experience thus far, I cant even begin to explain how much this team has meant to me. I can only echo upon what I've already mentioned; that most of my closest friends at Mac come from the soccer team, and some of the greatest moments I've had at this school are with this team (notably winning the league championship game last fall). I would highly recommend Mac to any prospective first-year for not only its academics, but also for its incredible soccer program."
