Why did you choose Macalester?
I considered a large number of colleges many of which had some similarities to Macalester. However, when it came time for me to decide, Macalester’s renowned academic excellence, focus on internationalism, and successful soccer program could not be matched. In addition, when I visited Mac, I felt welcomed by the soccer team and the other students. The atmosphere on campus made me feel even better about my decision. I am excited for the soccer season this year and I am looking forward to a great first year at Mac.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
As a member of the men's soccer team my focus, leadership, and friendships have grown more than I would have imagined was possible four years ago. All three of these traits will help me in years to come as I search for a career in the so called 'real world'. I'm confident the focus I have learned to use to balance demanding course with an always competitive soccer schedule will make most jobs relatively straight forward and if not I know I will always have a great group of friends from the team to support me.
