2014: Placed seventh at the Division III NCAA National Championships to earn her second consecutive All-America honors … Named to the All-Regional team with a third place finish at the Central Region Championships and earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors … Ran to a second place finish at the MIAC Championships and was named Academic All-MIAC … Twice named MIAC Athlete of the Week

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My experience at Macalester so far has been very meaningful. The small-school atmosphere has meant a lot to me, allowing for working with and collaborating with other students and meaningful relationships with professors. Furthermore, the non-judgmental, supportive and open attitudes of Macalester students has helped give me more confidence and allowed me to really enjoy the learning experience. Overall, it has meant a lot to me being in this close-knit community where everyone has such a strong passion to learn and all seem to want the best for each other.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
From learning to balance diverse passions to being in such an encouraging and cooperative environment to pushing myself to new levels I never thought possible, being a student-athlete has shaped who I am as an individual. It has made me a more balanced, supportive, strong and passionate person, and continues to everyday.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester has taught me how to balance many different interests and passions. It has helped me find joy in rather than fear of the adversity that comes with pursuing these passions and made me a stronger and more confident person overall.
