What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
It has meant quite a bit for me. I have learned so much, educationally and personally. I've changed my major and added a minor. It's been a great and fun experience, and I can't wait to experience all of my sophomore year.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Most certainly. Being an athlete here at MAC has forced me to become mentally stronger and tougher because of the rigor that athletics offer. It's also taught me the value of great relationships, not just with teammates but with anyone. I think I'm a better version of me because of athletics and the great coaches I have.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Playing sports, like football, forces the development of internal characteristics that are conducive to success in the world, especially beyond college. The hard work and respect for authority directly apply to a future career, but then there's also integrity, respect, camaraderie, and so many other things. In my case especially, wanting to become a collegiate football coach, playing college football has not only been invaluable, but is a necessity. Plus, the rigors of academics here at MAC only amplify all of these great characteristics, because of the great additional pressure added. Despite the difficulty of it, the experience of being a student-athlete here at MAC has been nothing short of a blessing in my life.
