Biography
What Macalester has meant to me:
Macalester is the bomb-diggidy. Jokes aside though, Mac is definitely one of the best things that I've had the pleasure of being a part of. There are so many opportunities here and so many amazing people surrounding you. It's a great place. If I had to summarize the Macalester experience in one word for me personally, I would definitely choose "realization."
What I appreciate most about the team:
There is a huge effort for different events to get to know each other and learn from each other, and I think that's really something for a more individualistic sport like track.
Involvements outside of athletics:
I'm the co-founder and member of the student organization Macalester Helping Open Peaceful Exchange, a summer intern for the nonprofit Iraqi-American Reconciliation Project, and on the Macalester Student Arabic Board.
