2013: Started nine of ten games for the Scots at cornerback during junior campaign . . . Forced a team-leading five interceptions on the season, including two in season finale versus Hamline . . . Forced a fumble in the season opener versus Crown . . . Also recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass versus Washington-University, which earned him team defensive player of the week . . . Collected 39 tackles on the season (29 solos, 10 assists). . . Tallied a season-high seven tackles at the University of Chicago.
2012: Converted to defensive back to open his sophomore season . . . Participated in six games . . . Collected seven tackles on the season primarily serving as the team’s dime cornerback . . . Recovered an onside kick to seal the victory at Mayville State.
2011: Recruited as a quarterback . . . Practiced as a quarterback during training camp before moving to wide receiver for the rest of the season . . . Collected two tackles on special teams versus Hiram . . . Caught three passes for 40 yards in the season finale versus Trinity.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
I am prepared to balance a challenging schedule and work closely with a team. I have learned the importance of staying organized, acquired a taste for coffee, and developed the ability to nap at any location at a moment's notice. I will also have the distinct advantage of having a network of over a hundred great friends from football and track teams.
