Why I chose Macalester:
Macalester’s nationally renowned education, first class athletic facilities, and ideal location within the Twin Cities were major reasons that drew my attention to Mac. However, it was the exceptional coaching staff attached with the opportunity to play football and baseball, the attention and hands on learning I could receive in a small school setting, and the unique opportunity to be in a diverse atmosphere like none other, that made Macalester the clear cut choice for me. There is no other school I would rather be serving my Lord than at Macalester right now.

What Macalester has meant to me:
Mac has surpassed my expectations and hopes from what I envisioned my college experience being like. Macalester gives me a new experience daily and has challenged me in such a wide variety of ways. I love the opportunity of being a student-athlete while representing Macalester on the football and baseball teams. My teammates and coaches are my second family and are a large reminder that my decision to become a Fighting Scot was the right decision. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of starting up a Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at Macalester, and I am very excited to see what God has planned for us on campus and in the community.

How Macalester Football has shaped me as an individual:
My most rewarding and treasured connection with Macalester is related to the "athlete" portion of being a Mac student-athlete. The attention to detail it demands, the required hard work, team player attitude, and more continue to shape me into a more well rounded individual. However, it is the family like bonds I have with my teammates and coaches and the sacrifices I have endured with them that will be most remembered and attributed to how I carry on into my future relationships. I am sincerely blessed for the opportunity God has given me to be a Macalester student-athlete.
