Macalester College Athletics

Why I chose Macalester:
I chose Macalester because I wanted to attend a small liberal arts school in an urban area. I looked all over the country for a school outside of Minnesota, but Macalester had everything that I was looking for even though it is only twenty miles away from my high school. I also was attracted to Macalester because of its diverse student body and generous financial aid. Of course, it doesn't hurt that there is enough snow in the winter to nordic ski!

What Macalester has meant to me:
I have felt welcomed and appreciated as a member of the Macalester community. Everyone here has diverse interests, and it has been both fun and eye-opening to listen to my classmates discuss their passions in and out of the classroom. In my opinion, the best part of Macalester is that there is no pressure to conform; everyone is allowed to be (and become) who they want to be.
