What Macalester has meant to me:
I feel that I've grown a great deal due to my experiences here at Macalester so far. The opportunity to be more independent really allows you to find your passions and pursue the kind of life you really want for yourself. But this could be true of any college. That being said, I feel that Macalester makes that growth process so much more enjoyable because of the people that surround you. People that are all interested in pursing their dreams, who are all driven to achieve, and who share a sense of commitment to their goals. Also everyone I've at Macalester is just downright nice, and great to be around and the smaller size of the college really makes it feel like you're around a second family.
