Macalester College Athletics

Why I chose Macalester:
Macalester provided the balance between academics and athletics I was looking for. I was also drawn to Mac because of its urban setting. I wanted a school that interacted with its community and allowed for experiential learning outside of the classroom which is what the Twin Cities provides for Macalester students. 

What Macalester has meant to me:
The people I've meet at Macalester are what has made my Macalester experience so valuable. My professors and peers challenge me everyday in the classroom and create an amazing environment to learn in. And at the same time my teammates and coaches challenge me on the field and provide support and encouragement. The relationships I've formed at Mac is why Macalester means so much to me.

How Macalester Soccer has shaped me as an individual:
Being a student-athlete has made me a much more balanced person. I've been able to more effectively juggle school, soccer, and fun. On top of that, being a part of something larger than myself and working hard everyday for my teammates has pushed me to grow in ways different from the classroom.
