Biography
Why I chose Macalester:
I first learned about Macalester through the mail. Macalester's form letter was quirky and funny and informed me that the college employed thousands of hamsters to power their website. I was intrigued. When I learned that Macalester was a small liberal arts college that emphasized globalism and multiculturalism AND existed outside New England, I was sold.
What Macalester has meant to me:
My time at Mac represents a period of intense growth for me, both on a scholarly and a personal level. Since coming to Macalester I have experienced so many new and different things. Through these experiences I believe I have become a fuller person--someone who is more sure of who she is. I'm still not certain of many things, but I'm learning as I go.
