What I hope to do after graduation:
After graduation I hope to tie together my interests in international relations, human rights and environmental conservation by working for an international organization such as the United Nations.
How Macalester has prepared me:
Macalester's liberal arts education has allowed me to pursue very different interests and tie them together in my own way. I have gotten the chance to learn from amazing professors and fellow students across a wide array of departments.
Craziest water polo moment:
My freshman year of college, we hosted conference here at Mac. We struggled during the regular season and entered the tournament as the last seed. But we played our way into the tournament. Though we didn't win the overall tournament, we ended up beating the first seed in a very dramatic overtime win. It was a very suspenseful game and really great to get to experience playing for our friends and the Macalester community. I can't wait to host again this year!
Best water polo moment:
My senior year of high school, we played a regular season game against a team that usually beat us. But the game ended up going into double overtime, sudden death. I don't know what made me do it but I took a shot from really far out and took the goalie by surprise. I ended up scoring the game winning goal and even though it was a regular season game, it was pretty exciting. I can't wait to have some new amazing moments in my last year with such a great team!
