Katie is a product of the Stanford water polo club and Castilleja High School, where she learned to be a strong center player. Playing water polo from a young age has given Katie the opportunity to develop a good knowledge of the game and very solid fundamental skills. Although Katie loves water polo, she says that elementary backstroke is her favorite stroke. Katie is the daughter of Bob and Susan Eulau and has two older brothers, Chris and Nick. Katie chose Macalester due to the size, the academic prestige, and because it was a Midwest school with water polo.
