Why I chose Macalester:
"People from my hometown in Washington often ask me why I chose to attend a small college in Minnesota, "It's so cold there!" They remark. I didn't choose Macalester for its location, although its easy access to the Twin Cities is fantastic. I selected Macalester for its rigorous and well-rounded academics, strong reputation and heavy emphasis on global citizenship. The fact Macalester has a strong soccer program with dedicated coaches and players did not make my decision, but it is a bonus which has greatly enhanced my time at Mac."
