Why I chose Macalester:
The academics at Macalester are unrivaled. I wanted to go to a smaller school where I could receive a very personal education and Macalester was the best match of the schools I had been looking at. Along with that, I wanted to have the opportunity to continue playing sports. After talking with the coaching staff and the players about where the football program had been, and where they wanted it to go and truly believed it was going, I could tell that it was the type of environment I wanted to play in. The enthusiasm about football and the great academics at Macalester made it the perfect choice.

What Macalester has meant to me:
Macalester is the type of place where you can be yourself or find out who you really are. Mac is my second home and I love every day I spend here. Not only is the football team a very close community, but the entire college is a community. I feel I have been taken in which has made the transition to college life and life away from home much easier.
