Three-year varsity starter at The Master’s Academy… Received SSAC all-conference honorable mention… Helped The Master’s Academy win a state title, recording three tackles and two sacks in the championship game… Named an AP Scholar with Honor… National Honor Society.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester seems to offer a good opportunity to go into graduate school and the institution itself is fairly prestigious. Honestly, I would have never heard about Macalester if it wasn't for football. But the financial aid and potential future career paths brought me here.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My freshman year has left me hungry to experience a real non-COVID year. The first time being on your own is extremely formative. Macalester will forever be a part of my life and how I define myself as a person, even after just one year.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Priorities-the thing we don't have enough of is time. Use it well or regret what happens.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
No matter how much we may complain about an experience we often come to miss it very much. This, I feel, applies to everything in life. Practice can be grueling and game days can feel long and the work load can be hard. But I know I will miss it so I will appreciate it while I have it.
