What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
I never expected to find people that are both so similar and so different from me. Somehow, this combination makes me feel completely at home.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester has given me a safe place, one that I can always come back to when life gets tough. Although it has challenged me to work on the weakest parts of myself, it has also given me the support and drive to keep going even when results are not perceivable.
How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Being a student-athlete has taught me how to seek support from those around me during challenging times, both mentally and physically. Macalester values passion and community, values that translate well into a team culture that promotes well-being over individual success. Post-graduation, I hope to recreate the type of comradery I found on my team in future teams and working environments.
