Biography
Why I chose Macalester:
"I wanted to go to a school that would be a good balance between academics and athletics, where the athletics are still an integral part of campus life. At Macalester, it is great to be able to study subjects that I am interested in (geography and art), and play the sport that I love, both at high levels. I also chose Macalester because of its small community feel within a larger city, which is a wonderful balance and provides many opportunities as a young student. Coming out of high school it was great to finally attend a school where everyone seems genuinely interested and motivated to study, participate, and take advantage of all the opportunities. Macalester has been a challenging and exciting new step in my life. I could not have asked for a better place to take interesting classes, meet a variety of new people, and explore new cities. The soccer program specifically, has been a great program to be involved with on campus. The other girls are great teammates on the field and good friends off the field. The school is also incredibly supportive of the soccer team, which makes it even more fun."
