Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester because it provided me with the unique ability to continue playing baseball for a successful program while receiving an amazing liberal arts education. Also, being in a metropolitan and convenient location like the Twin Cities will hopefully allow for a great number of internship and future job opportunities.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has provided me with a number of amazing opportunities. Not only have I been able to develop important life skills through my participation on the baseball team, but I have also been encouraged to pursue and deepen my academic passions through coursework and internship experiences.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a college athlete requires a great deal of discipline, hard work, and focus. I have found that in my first two years at Macalester, these skills and character traits (which have been developed on the baseball field) have extended into the classroom and my personal life as well.
