2018
Appeared in all 20 games for the Scots, making five starts… Scored twice throughout the season… Logged over 1000 minutes played during the year… Tallied 15 total shots, seven of which were on net for a .467 shot on goal percentage… Scored his first collegiate goal against St. Scholastica on Oct. 17 helping the Scots to a 1-1 tie… Added another goal in the following game against St. Mary’s on Oct. 20… Took at least one shot in 10 of his 20 games played… Played 45 minutes or more in 15 different games.

2017
Played in 19 games with one assist. 

2016
Played in 14 games with three starts.

Before Mac
Team Captain for Madison West… Earned second team all-conference honors… Named to Academic Honor Roll.
 
Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
Macalester was my college of choice for a few reasons. First off, I wanted to make sure I attended a college known for academic rigor and Mac certainly met that standard. I'm happy knowing my education will be of the best quality and undoubtedly prepare me for my future, whatever it may be. Secondly, I really loved the campus and feel of the school. It's nice having small class sizes and a smaller school, but also being in the Twin Cities! As Hannah Montana once said, "You get the best of both worlds." Finally, the opportunity to continue my soccer career was an added bonus. To be able to play the sport I love at the collegiate level and for a school like Mac, it's truly an honor.
 
What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
After completing my first year at Macalester, I know I made the correct decision in attending this institution. My experiences on the soccer field, in the classroom, and with my newfound friends at Macalester have helped me grow as a person. As I continue to navigate my through my time as a college student here at Mac, I look forward to further expanding of my horizons and many more positive experiences!

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
In many ways, Macalester athletics surprised me. The bond with my fellow teammates, connections with athletes from other sports, coaching staff, training staff, and the level of competition have impacted me more strongly than I imagined possible. During my time as a student athlete, I feel my skills as a leader, time manager and student have vastly improved. I also have learned a great deal about how to better myself individually so that the team can see more success. It is difficult for me to quantify my own growth but I can say that I am thrilled to be student athlete here at Mac. I couldn't think of a better group of people nor a better way to spend my time than as a Macalester soccer player.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
My time as a student-athlete at Mac has given me a great number of skills which will be useful moving forward. Balancing a rigorous academic schedule with a work study position and a soccer season has taught me the importance of time management. Working with teammates towards a common goal has taught me the importance of playing a role and encouraging others to succeed as well. Last, but certainly not least, I will take the relationships I have built over my time at Macalester with me wherever I go. “Good friends are like fairy tales – they’ve been there since once upon a time and they will be there until forever after.”
