Named to the MIAC All-Defensive team at catcher… Threw out 10 would-be base stealers in 19 attempts… Ranked second on the team with six home runs… Batted .234 with 30 runs, six doubles, two triples and 32 runs batted in… Drove in six runs with two homers and a triple in a 15-10 win over Salem State Mar. 13… Homered in three straight MIAC doubleheaders in wins over St. Thomas Apr. 17 and Gustavus Apr. 21, and a loss at Saint Mary’s Apr. 22… Also hit a two-run home run in a victory at Saint John’s May 2… Scored two runs in the Scots’ win over Bethel in the finals of the MIAC Playoffs May 13.

2016
Played in 26 games with 20 starts… Batted .357 with 25 hits, 12 runs, five doubles, two triples, three home runs and 20 RBIs… Hit his first collegiate home run in a win over Dubuque Mar. 14… Went 3-for-6 with a double, two homers and eight RBIs in a win at Augsburg Apr. 10… Was 5-for-6 with a double, a triple and two RBIs in a doubleheader at UW-Stout May 9.

Before Mac
Named all-conference three times at Piedmont High School, making the first team as a junior and senior… Hit .425 as a senior… Helped Piedmont reach the North Coast Section finals in 2013.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because the school offered a wide variety of academic options as well as the opportunity to continue playing baseball.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester has allowed me to pursue my academic interests while also allowing me to pursue my athletic goals. I have enjoyed meeting new people and I look forward to the next three years at Mac.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student-athlete at Macalester has helped improve my time management and diversify my perspective.
