Member of the football Leadership Council… Also a member of SAAC at Macalester… Co-Founder of Macalester Athletics Mental Health Committee… Psych Club leader… Football representative for Student-Athlete Mentor (SAM) program… Interned at Cornerstone Advocacy for the summer of 2019.

2019
Saw action in nine games as a defensive back… Made 14 tackles and had two pass breakups on the season… Registered six tackles against Hamline Sept. 14… Included on the Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference team for the third straight year.

2018
Played in all 10 games, starting three… Registered 20 tackles… Tied second on the team with four pass breakups… Intercepted a pass in the win over Lake Forest Sept. 29… Had a season-best four tackles against Chicago Nov. 3… Earned a spot on the Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference team for the second year in a row.

2017
Played in eight games… Registered five solo tackles… Made the Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference team.

Before Mac
Helped Plainfield North High School reach the 7A finals as a senior… Received his school’s Senior Athlete Award… Academic All-State… National Honor Society member.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because it offered the perfect combination of academics, athletics and community opportunities of all colleges I visited.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Everything. It has allowed me to positively grow as a student, athlete, friend and son in ways I could not have imagined before my enrollment.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
It has encouraged me to mature as a student, athlete, son, friend and member of society. The people I have met, the experiences I've had and the opportunities I have been given have allowed me to mature and grow in all aspects of my life. The challenges posed to me as a student-athlete, albeit difficult, have already produced wonderful benefits that I am honored and privileged to see.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
It has encouraged the growth of vital skills such as discipline, communication, and commitment. I am confident and grateful that the lessons I have learned on the field and in the classroom have prepared me to be successful after graduation.
