Played in one game, recording a tackle in the win over Grinnell Sept. 26.

Before Mac
Named to the all-league second team on offense as a senior at Polytechnic School… Also received the Jackson Alan Award from his team and the AP Scholar Award.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose Macalester because I wanted to join a competitive football program that values camaraderie. When I visited Macalester, I was very impressed with the sense of family on the team. That experience has carried over to the brief time I have already spent on the team.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
I have enjoyed the comradery and friendships that I have made during my time on the team. Last year was some of the most fun I have had in my life, and this year I am looking forward to continuing a great experience personally, in the classroom, and on the field.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
As a student athlete at Macalester College I have had the unique privilege of attending both a great institution and being part of a great team. The challenging academic setting paired with the toughest sport one can play has made me more than just a better student and athlete. Macalester has helped me learn that homework, papers, and practice may be challenging to balance, but learning how to do so is an invaluable skill.
