Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I choose to come to MAC after being recruited by several other programs spanning from my home state of Wisconsin to Tennessee, and even the east coast. I had narrowed my choices to Colorado University at Boulder and MAC. I chose Macalester to be part of a team and come into college surrounded by 80 brothers rather than 30,000 strangers. The school's caliber as an academic institute was number one on my priorities and the likelihood to be accepted to a top rate law school program only drew me closer. Coach Jennison is a man I truly respected and knew I wanted to be coached by in football and in life. I can already tell that Macalester is the greatest decision I have ever made. People look down on smaller schools or DIII football, the truth is that the best option for you might not be the largest class size or popularity, it could be the exact opposite. I chose Macalester because they showed that they wanted me to be there, they cared about getting me through the doors and into their classrooms and locker rooms, and that is something that should never be taken for granted.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
Macalester in only a year has changed me as a person through not only football but through the academics and social aspects. The dedication by staff and coaches has shown me what I am and what I can become. The commitment and push by those around me has meant a great deal and continues to show me that Macalester was the right decision.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Mac has provided an opportunity to thrive academically and as a student athlete it has allowed me to experience rigor that has already proven invaluable to success in almost all aspects of my life.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
The leadership lessons and work ethic that the coaches have provided has given me an experience and skills set that cannot be found anywhere else
