Studied abroad in New Zealand at the University of Otago for the spring of 2019 semester.

2018
Played in nine games with seven starts… Ranked fourth on the team with 35 tackles… Had an interception in wins over Carleton Sept. 1 and Beloit Oct. 6… Registered 10 tackles in the win over Carleton… Earned a spot on the Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference team.

2017
Played in seven games… Registered five tackles.

2016
Saw action in seven games… Made eight tackles.

Before Mac
Helped Punahou School compile a record of 27-3 over three years… Played on Punahou’s state championship team in 2013 and state runner-up squads in 2014 and 2015… Also earned all-conference honors in basketball… Made the Dean’s List all four years.

Why did you choose to attend Macalester?
I chose to attend Macalester because of the opportunity to continue my athletic career while receiving a top tier education. Being far from home, Macalester also is giving me a chance to broaden my horizons.

What has your experience at Macalester meant to you so far?
My experience at Mac was a great opportunity to help me grow as a person. I feel like it is important for a person to leave their comfort zone and experience the full breadth of life and that’s what Macalester has done for me.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester helped shape you as an individual?
Being a student athlete at Macalester has led me to enjoy and welcome all kinds of new opportunities and experiences. Who would've thought that a boy from the islands would rather stay in Minnesota over the summer than on a beach in Hawaii? My coaches, teammates, and the Macalester community are continually shaping and pushing me every day to become the best I can be.

How has your experience as a student-athlete at Macalester prepared you for life after graduation?
Time management and being able to deal with different people with different backgrounds and opinions has prepared me for life after Macalester.
