WHITEWATER, Wis. – The 13th-ranked Macalester College men's soccer team took on UW-Whitewater in a non-conference match, with neither team scoring in a non-conference match Sunday afternoon at Robert W. Fiskum Field. The Scots are now 1-0-3 on the season, while the Warhawks are 2-0-3.
Macalester took 15 shots compared to 13 for UW-Whitewater, but the Warhawks put nine shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper
Justin Ratner (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) made eight saves, with the Scots saving the ball off the goal line in the 15th minute. Five of the Warhawks' shots on frame occurred in the first 15 minutes. All three saves by Austin Waite came in the second half, with sophomore forward

The result is the second tie in the series since a 1-1 deadlock in 2016. The series between the two teams is now 2-2-2 over the last six meetings.
Macalester faces No. 22 UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday, Sept. 16 in a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament game won by the Scots at home. This time the game will be played in Eau Claire, Wis., starting at 7:00 p.m.
