ST. PAUL, Minn. – Four members of the Macalester College women's cross country team received All-MIAC honors as the conference announced its season-ending awards today. Senior
Ingrid Norquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Anoka) was named the 2026 MIAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Year, and junior
Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) joined her on the All-MIAC team, while sophomore
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas) and first year
Lucia Williams (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis) received All-MIAC honorable mention.
The top 15 finishers at the MIAC Championships, held last Saturday at St. Olaf, are All-MIAC, while places 16 through 25 receive All-MIAC honorable mention.
Norquist turned in a dominating performance, winning the individual MIAC title by 36 seconds over runner-up Abigail Burns of Carleton with a time of 21:48.6. This is the second consecutive year on the All-MIAC team for Norquist, who finished sixth last fall.
Fox posted her third All-MIAC performance in as many years, taking eighth with a time of 22:41.7. This was Fox's third top-10 finish and best performance of her career at the MIAC Championships after taking 10th in 2024 and ninth last year.
Jensen almost made it three Scots in the top 15 with a 16th-place finish in 23:17.9. Williams also received All-MIAC honorable mention by taking 25th in 23:27.3. Combined with fifth runner and senior
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy), who finished 26th, the Scots placed third as a team with 74 points, 11 behind second-place St. Olaf and 44 ahead of fourth-place St. Scholastica. The third-place finish is the best for Macalester since the 1999 squad took second.
Along with Norquist being named the Athlete of the Year, the MIAC selected Burns as Rookie of the Year and Carleton's Donna Ricks as Coach of the Year.
Macalester will compete in the Cannon River Closer on Nov. 5 and the NCAA North Region meet on Saturday, Nov. 14, with both events being held at St. Olaf.
