NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Senior
Ingrid Norquist (Minneapolis, Minn./Anoka) put up a personal best time of 21:44.3 on the 6-kilometer course to lead the Scots with a 10th-place finish at the Women's Navy Championship at Carleton College's Running of the Cows Pre Nationals Meet. Norquist has won two meets this season, and was the fastest MIAC runner in the field.
The highly competitive meet saw teams from across the country travel to Northfield on Saturday in anticipation of the DIII championships in November, and the Scots finished 23rd of 35 teams.
Junior
Kate Fox (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) was the second fastest Scot, finishing in 127th place with a time of 23:10.2. The final three scoring Scots came within five seconds of each other: first year
Lucia Williams (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis) took 179th with 23:35.6, sophomore
Aubrey Jensen (Floresville, Texas) took 188th in 23:38.7 and senior
Samantha Ellis (Intervale, N.H./Gould Academy) took 191st in 23:40.0.
The Scots totaled 618 points.
Earlier in the morning, the Scots also competed in the Women's Maize 6-kilometer. Macalester finished 24th of 32 teams with 712 points.

Leni Kuhn (Plymouth, Minn./Providence Academy), who placed 144th in 25:12.2. Senior
Norah Juzenas (Silver Spring, Md./Sandy Spring Friends School) took 177th with a time of 25:39.8. First year
Elsa Klaas (Ottawa Hills, Ohio/Ottawa Hills) had 205th with a personal best of 26:05.3. First year
Sylvie Clark (Minneapolis, Minn./Edison)took 220th in 26:12.3, and Sophomore
Anna Lendrum Fort (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) followed four seconds behind in 225th.
