ST. PETER, Minn. – The Macalester men's tennis team fell to the No. 1 seeded Gustavus this afternoon in the MIAC Semifinals, 5-0. The Scots finish the season 9-11 (5-4 MIAC).
 
Juniors Alec Sargent (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century) and Liam Lynch (St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) competed at No. 1 doubles while juniors Jordan Doi (Mililani, Hawaii/Mililani) and Lucas Wood (Urbana, Ill./University Lab School) played at No. 2 doubles. Both pairs fell 8-3. The Gusties also won the point at third doubles. Wood was able to win two games in each set at No. 3 singles, but fell 6-2, 6-2. Gustavus also took the point at fourth singles. The rest of the singles matches were unfinished, due to playoff matches going to decision.
 
This marks the last competition for senior Lewis Jolly (Grinnell, Iowa/Grinnell).
