Max Menache (Beverly Hills, Calif./Beverly Hills) and sophomore receiver
Brian Maddox (Alexandria, Va./Georgetown Preparatory School) received All-MIAC honorable mention, as the conference announced its season-ending awards today.
Menache registered 29 tackles on the season, including 2.0 sacks and 4.5 tackles-for-loss. Both sacks came in the season finale at St. Scholastica, where he also had a season-high seven tackles. An important part of the Scots' defensive line, Menache finishes his career with 98 tackles, including 62 solo tackles, 7.5 sacks and 18.0 tackles-for-loss.
Maddox makes the All-MIAC team as a returner after compiling a MIAC-leading 704 yards on 27 kick returns, including a 90yard return for a touchdown in the season finale at St. Scholastica. He ranks second in the MIAC in kick return average at 26.1 yards per return. As a receiver, Maddox caught a team-best 41 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns.
Aaron Syverson of Saint John's was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Year, while Bethel's Matt Jung and Caden DeWall were chosen the Defensive Player and Lineman of the Year, respectively. Jake Long of Concordia was selected the Rookie of the Year. Saint John's head coach Gary Fasching is the MIAC Coach of the Year.
