ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College football team begins its 2022 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Minnesota Morris. The 2022 schedule includes two non-conference games, three crossover games against the MIAC Northwoods Division, and four Skyline Division contests. The season concludes with a MIAC Championship Week game that will be played at home on Nov. 12.
The Scots' other non-conference game is the home opener against Martin Luther on Sept. 10 at 6:00 p.m. Macalester plays its third straight night game when St. Olaf visits Macalester Stadium on Sept. 24 at 7:00 p.m. Carleton and the Scots play for the Book of Knowledge on Oct. 8 in Northfield, with the third crossover game coming against St. Scholastica at home on Nov. 5. The first Skyline Division game is at Concordia in Moorhead on Oct. 8, followed by divisional home games against Augsburg Oct. 15 and Bethel Oct. 22. The final Skyline game is at Hamline on Oct. 29 for the Paint Bucket.
The divisional standings will determine the Scots' opponent for MIAC Championship Week on Nov. 12, with the Northwoods Division teams serving as hosts. The teams will face the corresponding seed in the other division, with the two first-place teams playing for the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs.
