Swimming & Diving: CSCAA Recognizes Macalester with Scholar All-America Honors

| By:
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches of America Association (CSCAA), the organization announced. A total of 441 institutions were named to the list.

In order to qualify as a Scholar All-America Team, teams must achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average for the 2022 spring semester. The men's team posted a 3.73 team GPA for the spring semester to rank tied for fifth among NCAA Division III men's swimming and diving teams. The women's team recorded a 3.76 team GPA, which is tied for fourth in Division III. Both teams also recorded the highest team GPAs among MIAC members.

Earlier this week, five student-athletes from the men's team and 10 from the women's team earned Academic All-MIAC honors, which require a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
