Celine Sabbagh (Eau Claire, Wis./Regis) started the Scots off strong with the first four points of the game. The Scots were up 6-5, after a three-pointer by the Saints. However, Sabbagh would quickly answer with a three-point field goal of her own to increase the Scots' lead back to four, with 6:37 remaining. The Scots maintained a lead for most of the quarter, but the Saints battled back to take a 20-19 lead into the second, over Macalester.

The Saints regained the lead with a pair of three-pointers, and with 2:13 on the clock, registered their largest lead of the quarter of nine points. First year guard/forward
Katherine Norquist (Chicago, Ill./Walter Payton College Prep) and Sabbagh would combine for three points, but another three from the Saints' Liz Frase would keep the Saints up nine, 40-31, into the break.
After the break, the Scots took off, going on a 12-5 run. Sabbagh would put up six points, junior guard
Solana Cushing (Minneapolis, Minn./South) would drain a three-pointer, while first year guard/forwards

The Saints, however, maintained their lead, going five-for-five on free throws in the remaining four minutes, and led 54-46, going into the final 10 minutes.
The Scots continued to push throughout the final quarter. Both teams battled back-and-forth, each registering 10 points for the first seven minutes of the half. However, the Saints' 41.2% three-point percentage and 86.7% free-throw percentage was too much to overcome for the Scots, and they fell 68-57.
Sabbagh had a career night, totaling 29 points against the Saints. Norquist registered her second double-double of the season with 15 points and 13 rebounds. The Scots made 82.8% of their free throws.
