As we begin competing, Macalester College currently allows only members of the Macalester community (faculty, staff, students) to attend home contests, while observing the
Mac Stays Safer community commitment. Macalester Athletics has outlined our Spectator Policy for outdoor athletic events. We are preparing to welcome a limited number of spectators to cheer on our teams at our outdoor events in a safe and responsible environment. As a reminder, the best seat to watch our home events is in your home. Live video for all campus home events can be found on the Macalester Athletics website on the
All-Access page.
Macalester Athletics Spectator Policy
Entrance/Seating
There will be limited standing and seating space outside the baseball, softball fields and tennis facility. Macalester community members will be asked to show their ID at the designated spectator viewing areas prior to entry. Those areas include:
- Behind home plate for softball and baseball, and down the left field line for baseball.
- For all track and field, soccer, and football events, entry to Macalester Stadium is at the double gates in the stadium parking lot.
- Along the north fencing of Hayden Tennis Courts (parking lot) for tennis.
Spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs, as there is limited bleacher space at the baseball and softball fields, and no bleachers at the tennis complex. Spectators should not interact with participants prior to or at the conclusion of events. There will be no outside food allowed into the spectator areas.
Masking and Distancing
Spectators must wear a mask at all times and stand or sit with their pods in the designated viewing areas and remain at least six feet from other spectators. Spectators should not interact with participants prior to or at the conclusion of events.
