Where did you work prior to coming to Macalester? Western New Mexico University
What are your responsibilities at Mac? I am contracted through Allina Health to provide athletic training services to Macalester College as part of the Athletic Training Staff. I provide primary coverage to the women's soccer, men's and women's swim and dive, and softball teams.
What is your favorite thing about your job? My ability to connect with my patients through all the phases of their injury and recovery, working them through each high and low during that process.
What is your favorite thing about Macalester? The diverse, quirky and unique, open-minded environment that Macalester represents.
Favorite Macalester Athletics memories: Getting the opportunity to host and be a part of the men's soccer NCAA Division III Championships and watching the team become conference champions my first year at Macalester.
Which of Macalester Athletics' core values (Community, Develop, Compete) best describes you, and why? Community, because without community I would not be able to be the athletic trainer I am today. Both at my core, and in order to provide quality healthcare, it is necessary that I build relationships and trust with communication and connection to others.
Favorite sports to watch/follow outside of work: Football, soccer, hockey

What sports did you play growing up, in high school, college? High school track & field thrower
Hobbies: Exploring all the dog parks in the Twin Cities, DIY home improvement, traveling (pre-COVID)

If you weren't working in athletics, what would you be doing? Working in healthcare elsewhere.
