Eau Claire, Wis.- The Macalester College women's tennis team fell to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in non conference action. The Scots are now 3-2 (1-1 MIAC) after tonight's loss while the Blugolds improve to 9-3 (5-1 WIAC).
In singles play, junior
Emma Baker (Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) earned the lone win for the Scots. Baker took down her opponent in two straight sets with a 7-5 and a 6-2 win in the No. 5 position.
Macalester was swept in doubles play. Two of the Scots three matches were fairly close in doubles play.
The tennis team will be back in action March 16- March 20. Macalester will head to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the spring trip where the Scots will play four matches over the course of five days.
