Eau Claire, Wis.- The Macalester College men's tennis team lost their first game of the 2020 season by dropping the match to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The Scots fell 8-1 to the Blugolds. Macalester falls to 3-1 (1-0 MIAC) while Wisconsin-Eau Claire improves to an unblemished 12-0.
 
Sophomore Jeffrey Jorgensen (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) tallied the only win of the night for the Scots in singles play. Jorgensen won both sets 6-4 in the No. 2 position.
 
The Scots were swept in doubles play.
 
The tennis team will be back in action March 16- March 20. Macalester will head to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the spring trip where the Scots will play four matches over the course of five days.
