Women's Tennis: Scots Sweep Bethany Lutheran College

DULUTH, Minn- The Macalester women's tennis team beat Bethany Lutheran College 9-0 tonight.

In singles the Scots were led by sophomore Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) in the No. 1 position winning 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo), sophomore Emma Baker ( Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) and junior Camilla Bendetti (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr School) all also won 6-0, 6-0.

No. 2 singles senior Della Brown (Chicago, Ill./Univ. Of Chicago Laboratory School) only dropped two games and beat her opponent 6-1, 6-1. Finally, No. 4 singles junior Claire Buehler (Houston, Tx./Awty International School) won 6-1, 6-0.

The Scots swept the Vikings in doubles.

Macalester returns to play Saturday, Feb. 24, against St. Catherine University in Minneapolis, Minn.
