Box Score NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's basketball team fell to St. Olaf on the road, 71-39 Wednesday night in the Skoglund Center. The loss drops Macalester to 3-11 overall and 0-9 in league play, while the Oles improve to 7-6, 6-2 MIAC.
St. Olaf controlled play throughout the first half, as Macalester's shooting woes continued. The Scots, who shot under 30 percent in their previous two games combined, made 28.0 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half to trail 36-16 at the break. The Oles tallied the first 10 points of the second half and never looked back, maintaining at least a 25-point advantage the rest of the way.

Jackson Henningfield (Lake Mary, Fla./Lyman) led Macalester with 12 points and six rebounds. Junior guard
Nikhil Smith (Augusta, Ga./Lakeside) added seven points, six boards, three assists and three steals, while sophomore guard
Gabriel Ramos (Dorado, Puerto Rico/Tasis Dorado) swiped four steals. Troy Diggins Jr. led all players with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Macalester takes on Saint Mary's University on Saturday, Jan. 12 on the road. The MIAC game starts at 3:00 p.m. in Winona, Minn.
