WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – The Macalester College men's tennis team lost to Saint John's University 6-3 today. Today's loss is the Scots first defeat in MIAC play and Macalester is now 9-5 on the season.  

In singles, Macalester's No. 1 Sam Hochberger (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) defeated Tim Larson 6-4, 6-3 and No.6 Peter Willenborg (Storrs, Conn./ E.O. Smith) defeated Jonah Punnoose 6-1, 7-5.   Doyle and Hochberger also teamed to win the Scots only doubles victory, winning 8-6. Hochberger is now 6-1 in MIAC play.

Macalester returns to action on Mon., April 23 against Carleton College at 5:00 p.m.
