ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Macalester College softball team earned a pair of wins at the Rochester Dome Games on Saturday, defeating Grinnell, 2-1 and Dubuque, 4-1. The Scots improve to 4-0 on the season with the wins.
Against Grinnell, Macalester scored a run in the top of the first inning on a double by junior
G.G. Gunther (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) that brought home first year
Julia Carpenter (Stevensville, Mich./Lakeshore) for a 1-0 lead. After Grinnell tied the score with a run in the bottom of the fourth, the Scots scored the go-ahead run in the top of the fifth, when sophomore

In the second game, Macalester scored four runs in the bottom of the first to take control of the game, with senior
