FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Macalester College men's basketball team played its second game in the state of Oregon in as many nights, falling to Pacific, 90-50 Saturday evening at the Stoller Center. The Scots drop to 0-2, while the Boxers open the season 1-0.
Pacific used a 16-2 run in the first half to build a 20-point lead, 29-9 midway through the period. The Boxers shot 47.2 percent from the field in the first half, including 5-of-9 from three-point range, to take a 44-24 advantage at halftime. Pacific maintained control throughout the second half, shooting 47.8 percent from the floor for the game while holding the Scots to 37.3 percent.
Junior center 
Kareem Ismail (Pasadena, Calif./Flintridge Prep) paced Macalester with 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field to go with seven rebounds. Pacific's K.C. Harrison led all players with 18 points.
Macalester returns home to host Martin Luther College on Tuesday, Nov. 17, with the game starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Leonard Center.
