ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 3-0 victory at Bethel University Saturday afternoon at Ona Orth Soccer Complex. The Scots, who are ranked 17th nationally, complete the regular season with an unbeaten 13-0-5 record overall and 8-0-2 in the MIAC.
Macalester won the MIAC regular-season title and earned the No. 1 seed in next week's MIAC Tournament. The Scots will play the lowest remaining seed on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.

Danny Baumann (Waterford, Wis./Muskego) opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with his fifth goal off the season. Still in the first half, first year midfielder

Logan Harper (Westwood, Mass./St. Mark's School) in the 36th minute. Junior forward
Austin Burrows (Roseville, Calif. Jesuit) closed out the scoring in the 81st minute with his seventh goal this year. He now has a team-leading 18 points on the season.

Zeke Vainer (Melrose, Mass./Melrose), who assisted on Burrows' goal, made four saves as the Scots recorded their eighth shutout this year. Macalester outshot Bethel, 22-12, with Jakob Bartels making seven saves for the Royals.
