St. Olaf went 32-for-51 from the field for a 63% mark, and pulled away for a 78-54 victory over the Scots in Northfield in the season's next-to-last game.  Macalester had a 13-5 margin in offensive rebounds, but could not overcome a 34% shooting figure.  The Scots fall to 3-21 overall and 2-17 in the MIAC, while St. Olaf improves to 19-5 on the season, and stays in second place in the conference at 16-3.

Macalester was led by Dylan Kilgour (So., La Crescenta, Calif. / Crescenta Valley) and Kareem Ismail (Fy., Pasadena, Calif. / Flintridge Prep) with 10 points apiece.  Kilgour also contributed seven rebounds and three steals, while Ismail dished out five assists and grabbed four boards.  The team's top rebounder was Luke Poulsen (Fy., Gill, Mass. / Northfield Mount Hermon).  Bert Yaffe (Jr., Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) scored eight points and Kyle Bernhard (So., Sleepy Hollow, Ill. / Dundee-Crown) had seven.

Leading the way for the well-balanced Oles was Nathan Kuck with 12 points and Connor Gunderson with 11.  St. Olaf led 41-22 at halftime.

The Scots close out the 2013-14 season Saturday (Feb. 22) at Carleton.
