Macalester ran into No. 15-ranked St. Thomas Wednesday night at UST and came out on the short end of a decisive 89-40 tally.  The Tommies shot 53%, compared to 33% for the visitors, and improve to 14-3 on the season and a first-place 11-1 in the MIAC.

Dylan Kilgour (So., La Crescenta, Calif. / Crescenta Valley) was Macalester's leading point producer with 10 points.  Bert Yaffe (Jr., Bethesda, Md. / Walter Johnson) followed with seven points.  Kareem Ismail (Fy., Pasadena, Calif. / Flintridge Prep) led Macalester with six rebounds.

St. Thomas was led by Conner Nord and Dylan Stewart with 16 points apiece. Zach Riedeman dished out six assists as UST had assists obn 28 of 32 baskets.

The Tommies were 12-for-27 on threes and for the game led 26-7 in points off turnovers.

The Scots return to MIAC action Saturday (Feb. 1) when they host Hamline at 3 p.m.
