Bethel out-scored its guests 16-4 over the first six minutes of the second half and went on to defeat Macalester 75-53 at the Robertson Center in Arden Hills.  The Scots drop to 2-15 overall and 1-11 in the MIAC, while Bethel improves to 11-6 on the season, 7-5 in the MIAC.

The Royals shots 52%, compared to 37% for Mac, and led 42-16 in points in the paint.

Guards Sager Moritzky (Fy., San Juan Capistrano, Calif. / St. Margaret's Episcopal) and Dylan Kilgour (So., La Crescenta, Calif. / Crescenta Valley) led the way for the Scots, with Moritzky leading the way with 15 points to go along with six assists, and Kilgour chipping in with 14 points to go along with three steals.  Kareem Ismail (Fy., Pasadena, Calif. / Flintridge Prep) led the team with seven rebounds.

Bethel was paced by Luke Buttenhoff with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Brycen Wojta added 12 points.

The Scots play next Wednesday (Jan. 29) at St. Thomas.
