St. Olaf scored the game's first 11 points, led by two points and halftime, and held on for 65-58 MIAC victory over the Scots at the Skoglund Center in Northfield.
The Scots took their only lead with five straight to open the second half but St. Olaf followed with a 7-0 run and never trailed again.
Macalester sinks to 2-12 on the season and 1-8 in the MIAC. St. Olaf improves to 7-5 overall, 5-4 in MIAC play.
Erin Murray (So., Sparta, Wis.) had 14 points and six assists to pace Macalester. She was joined in double digits by
Emma Leyden (Sr., Berkeley, Calif. / Head-Royce) with 12 points, and coming off the bench for eight points was
Taylor Pike (Sr., Ashland, Neb. / Ashland-Greenwood).
St. Olaf was paced by Kim Cerjan with 18 points to go along with seven rebounds. St. Olaf had a 10-point, nine-rebound effort from Elise Raney while Emily Wahlberg added six points and 10 boards.
