Macalester led by 10 points at 18-8 midway through the opening half of play, but host-Augsburg took control after that and went on to defeat the Scots 69-42 at Si Melby Hall in Minneapolis.  The Auggies shot 50%, compared to 32% for Mac, and led 15-6 in second chance points.

The Scots sink to 2-11 overall and 1-6 in the MIAC.  The Auggies improve to 7-4 on the season, 3-3 in the MIAC.

Macalester was led in the scoring column by Griffin Glatt (So., Summit, N.J. / Newark Academy), who finished with 10 points.  Kyle Bernhard (So., Sleepy Hollow, Ill. / Dundee-Crown) added nine points.  Sager Moritzky (Fy., San Juan Capistrano, Calif. / St. Margaret's Episcopal) dished out five assists and collected two steals.

Dan Kornbaum paced Augsburg with 22 points on a 9-for-12 shooting effort.

Next up for the Scots is an MIAC home game Wednesday (Jan. 15) with St. Olaf at 7:30 p.m.
